Co-curricular Activities

Considerable stress is laid on co curricular activities such as debates, discussions, lectures, quizzes, projects, seminars, educational visits, lectures by learned luminaries etc. Beside these, Music and Drawing form major items of co-curricular activities in the school. The music room of the school is big and spacious. There are different types of instruments such as guitar, drums, table, electric guitar, sitar, cassio and many others. The different music instructors can teach different groups of students at the same time. Indian and Western classical and folk dances are a regular feature of programs conducted in school from time to time. The vocal music too forms part of our training Music. Thus students who have an aptitude to sing are encouraged to do so and guided to improve upon.

A large number of work based activities for the students of all classes are offered by the school. These include a plethora of art and crafts activities.

Drawing is a strong favourite with the children of all ages. The school art room has many beautiful paintings in it. The students are introduced to colours at a very early age and their sketching abilities are guided and improved. Their efforts adorn school corridor boards which give them agreat sense of achievement. The school publishes an annual magazine 'TRISHNA' and School News letters at regular intervals. Students are encouraged to write articles in both Hindi and English for publications in these journals. This generates considerable enthusiasm in the children and they are seen at their innovative best.

The school also organizes Inter-house contest in music & dance, debates, declamation and recitation in both Hindi and English. Quiz competitions are also held to enhance the students general knowledge and awareness.
